Frequently Asked Questions

  • In the beginning, the main goal is to determine your needs and whether we will be a good fit. If we decide to work together, I will create a treatment plan based on your goals to guide our time together. Ideally, we will meet weekly or every other week to work on your goals. Sessions are approximately 55 minutes long.

  • Yes and no. At this time, I will work with families if is necessary to meet your goals. I do not work with couples regarding marital issues or families that need intervention as a whole. I urge you to seek out a licensenced Marriage and Family Therapist for those needs (LMFT). However, if your goals revolve around a specific person or family member, you may chose to have them in a session for feedback or other input as we see necessary. When more than one person is involved in the session, an additional fee will be charged.

  • I do not take insurance at this time. All sessions are self-pay. Each session can be paid by credit card, debit card, HSA or FSA accounts. My fees can be found below.

    55 minutes session- $150

    Family session- $200

Any time spent to write letters or consult with someone on the client’s behalf (with permission)- $25 per 15 minute intervals

  • Play therapy is so many things! The most basic way to explain it is play based modalities to bring about change, growth, and expression during counseling sessions. A more extensive explanation can be found on the Association for Play Therapy website.

  • Because this practice is only virtual therapy (tele therapy) , you will need a computer, internet accessibility, and a quiet/private (aka CONFIDENTIAL) space. A willingness to do the work and make the changes is also helpful. But good news, if you made it this far, you’re already doing great!
